Selection process

Every application goes through a detailed appraisal by the Andhra Pradesh Industries Department before any money is released.

  • Eligibility check: the department first verifies that the applicant meets the scheme's conditions, including the general-enterprise requirement and the size classification claimed.
  • Fixed Capital Investment verification: the actual quantum of eligible FCI is examined and validated, since the subsidy percentage and ceiling are both calculated on this figure.
  • Category confirmation: the department confirms whether the unit qualifies as Sub-Large, Large, Mega or Ultra Mega, which in turn fixes the maximum subsidy amount.
  • Policy compliance review: the proposal is tested against the provisions of the IDP 4.0 policy document.
  • Approval for disbursement: once the review is complete and compliant, the subsidy is approved and released on the applicable disbursement schedule.

Applicants should expect to submit a comprehensive project proposal, financial projections and documentary proof of Fixed Capital Investment to support this review.
