Selection process
Applications are processed through the Coir Board's regional offices.

For Coir Udyami Yojana:
- Prepare a detailed project report for the proposed coir processing unit.
- Apply for a bank loan from a scheduled bank or Regional Rural Bank; get the loan sanctioned.
- Submit the bank sanction letter, project report, land/premises documents, and promoter KYC to the Coir Board regional office.
- The Coir Board verifies the proposal and registers the project under the scheme, issuing a subsidy sanction letter.
- Complete the unit setup and start operations.
- After physical inspection, the 40% subsidy is credited to your loan account.

For Mahila Coir Yojana:
- Register with the local Coir Development Officer.
- Beneficiary verification is done by the Coir Board in coordination with state agencies.
- Free spinning equipment is distributed directly after verification.
There is no set deadline; applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
