Selection process
There is no competitive selection here — no pitch rounds, no jury and no ranking against other applicants. Assessment is administrative and turns on two things: whether the applicant is genuinely a Recognised Startup Unit, and whether the claimed patent expenses are legitimate, properly documented and within the scope allowed by the policy.
- Check and register: Confirm that your unit is formally recognised under the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30.
- Incur the patent expenses: File and prosecute your patent, and keep meticulous records — invoices and payment receipts will be needed later.
- Submit the claim: Apply through the designated online portal or the physical office of the Department of Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh, following the process set out in the policy guidelines.
- Attach supporting documents: Recognition proof, patent documents, expense bills, bank details and any forms or declarations the policy requires.
- Verification and approval: The administering authority reviews the submission for compliance with the policy's terms and conditions.
- Disbursement: On approval, 50% of the expenses (up to ₹10 lakh) is transferred to your registered bank account.
