Selection process

Applications stay open throughout the policy period, and the route to the relief follows the procedure laid down in the state industrial policy:

  • Step 1 — Registration as a new large enterprise. The enterprise submits incorporation documents, its investment plan and employment projections to the Department of Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh, so it is recognised as a new large enterprise under the prevailing industrial policy.
  • Step 2 — Execution of the deeds. The purchase or lease deed for the land or building the industrial unit needs is then executed within Chhattisgarh.
  • Step 3 — Application for exemption. A formal request goes to the designated authority — the Department of Industries or the District Collector's office, as the policy specifies — along with the executed deeds, proof of registration as a new large enterprise and any other papers the policy guidelines call for.
  • Step 4 — Verification and approval. Officials examine the application and supporting documents against the eligibility criteria. Once eligibility is confirmed, the exemption is granted and no stamp duty is collected at registration.
