Selection process

There is no competitive shortlisting here. The exemption operates as a verification and compliance check, and any MSME that satisfies the conditions can claim it.

  • The enterprise applies for the exemption by following the application procedure set out in the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-30.
  • The application is submitted to the designated state authority responsible for industrial development, such as the Department of Commerce & Industry or the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Corporation.
  • Supporting paperwork is examined, including proof of MSME registration, incorporation documents, and copies of the land, shed or building deeds for which the exemption is sought.
  • Officials verify that the applicant is genuinely an MSME and that the transaction falls inside the scheme's scope — a purchase or lease of land, a shed or a building, or the transfer of related lease documents, and not land held for a mining lease.
  • Where everything is in order, the 100% stamp duty exemption is granted. Where the policy's terms and conditions are not met, the application can be rejected.
