How much financial assistance does this scheme provide?

The amount depends on the level of the exhibition. A state-level event is reimbursed at 80% of expenses up to ₹50,000, a national-level event at 80% up to ₹1,00,000, and an international exhibition held inside India at 80% up to ₹2,00,000. For an international exhibition held outside India, the rate is 70% of expenses up to ₹5,00,000.

Who is eligible to apply for this assistance?

The applicant must be a Micro, Small or Medium enterprise in the manufacturing sector, it must be SC/ST-led with an SC/ST contribution of 51% or more, and it must be in production in Gujarat during the scheme's run. Participation is allowed in exhibitions and trade fairs held in India as well as outside India.

What exactly does SC/ST enterprise mean under this scheme?

For this scheme, an enterprise counts as an SC/ST enterprise when the contribution of the SC/ST entrepreneur — whether through equity or ownership — is 51% or more of the enterprise.

How many times can an enterprise claim this assistance?

It depends on the level of the exhibition. For state-level, national-level and international exhibitions held inside India, the limit is 5 times each during the scheme period. For international exhibitions held outside India, the limit is 3 times.

Which expenses are reimbursed?

The assistance covers costs incurred for participating in an approved exhibition or trade fair, specifically stall rent, product literature and display materials.

Can the exhibition be held outside India?

Yes. The scheme supports events both within India and abroad. However, an international exhibition held outside India must be approved by a recognised body such as MSME Development Institute (MSME-DI), India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), EEPC India, Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO) or the state Government.

Do service or trading MSMEs qualify?

No. This component is limited to manufacturing sector MSME enterprises. Trading and service businesses do not fall within its scope.

What is the last date to apply?

Applications for this component close on 6 August 2025, which is also the end date of the scheme's run from 7 August 2020.

Does the scheme take equity in my business?

No. This is a subsidy in the form of a reimbursement of eligible exhibition expenses, so it is non-dilutive — no stake or ownership in the enterprise is taken in return.

How and where do I submit the application?

Applications go through the Investor Facilitation Portal (IFP). Register with "New Investor Registration", fill and submit the registration form, then verify your email ID through the link sent to your registered address. After verification you can log in with that email address and password, fill in the required details about your business and upload the mandatory documents to complete the application.
