Selection process

There is no competitive pitch round here. Applications are examined by the state government machinery instead.

  • Screening: each submission is first checked for completeness and for meeting the eligibility conditions, above all the existing approval under a GoI PLI or state-notified central scheme.
  • Committee review: a dedicated committee, made up of officials from the Department of Industries along with other relevant state departments, studies the project proposals.
  • Verification: the committee verifies the declared Fixed Capital Investment and weighs how closely the project matches the objectives of the Andhra Pradesh Textile Policy 2024-29.
  • Project inspection: where needed, a site visit or physical inspection of the new, expansion or diversification project is carried out to confirm the investment and the progress on the ground.
  • Approval and disbursement: once verification is cleared and the subsidy is sanctioned, payments begin in tranches over the stipulated five-year period, as per policy guidelines.

Only projects that show genuine investment, growth potential and compliance with policy norms move through to sanction.
