Selection process

Once an application is filed, it goes before a review committee made up of officials from the Andhra Pradesh Industries Department along with representatives of other relevant state bodies.

The committee begins with three checks: whether the paperwork is complete and accurate, whether the proposed waste processing unit is viable and likely to deliver real impact, and whether the applicant satisfies the eligibility conditions laid down in FPP 4.0.

Projects are then compared on merit — their contribution to the state's waste management goals, the jobs they are expected to create, the degree of technological innovation involved, and how sound the financial plan is.

Shortlisted proposals may face an additional round of scrutiny, including site visits, before a final decision on subsidy release is taken.

There is no fixed application window under this scheme, so proposals are assessed as and when they are received.
