Selection process

Assessment happens in layers before any amount is sanctioned.

  • Project registration: as soon as commercial operations begin — or when an expansion or diversification project is initiated — the enterprise registers the project with the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Application submission: a detailed application goes in along with project reports, financial statements, proof of investment in Fixed Capital and the required statutory clearances, following AP TAG 4.0 guidelines.
  • Screening: officials first confirm that the application is complete and that basic eligibility conditions are satisfied.
  • Technical and financial appraisal: a committee comprising officials from the Department of Industries & Commerce and relevant experts studies the project's viability, verifies how much Fixed Capital Investment qualifies, and weighs how the project aligns with the state's industrial development goals.
  • Approval and sanction: the committee's recommendations are placed before the sanctioning authority, which approves the subsidy and issues a sanction order stating the approved amount and the disbursement schedule.
  • Disbursement: funds are released in tranches over the stipulated 4 or 5 years, provided the enterprise keeps fulfilling the conditions laid down in the sanction order.
