Selection process
Applications are scrutinised by the Andhra Pradesh Industries Department, which tests each project against IDP 4.0 before sanctioning the top-up.
- Documentation review: the department verifies the project's approval and sanction under a Government of India PLI or other recognised central scheme, along with the project reports and financial projections filed with the application.
- Eligibility check against the policy: the project is examined against IDP 4.0, including whether it falls into the Sub-Large, Large, Mega or Ultra-Mega category and whether it meets the policy's stipulations.
- FCI verification: the eligible Fixed Capital Investment figures submitted are checked, since they set the 5% ceiling on the top-up amount.
- Sanction and disbursement: once the incentive is approved and officially sanctioned, the capital subsidy is released in tranches according to the schedule attached to the project's category.
