Selection process

Applications are filed with the relevant District Industries Centre (DIC) or the nodal agency designated by the Andhra Pradesh government for industrial incentives, typically through an online portal or as a physical submission.

Once submitted, the file — including the project report and supporting documents — is scrutinised for eligibility and adherence to policy guidelines. Reviewers look at three things in particular:

  • whether the proposed project aligns with the objectives of FPP 4.0
  • whether the applicant itself qualifies under the scheme
  • the details and composition of the proposed fixed capital investment

The assessment is handled by the concerned authorities, generally at the District Industries Centre (DIC) level, with the State Level Empowered Committee also involved in reviewing submissions. The aim is to ensure only genuinely eligible and impactful projects are sanctioned, so the subsidy flows to work that modernises and grows the target sectors in Andhra Pradesh.

Projects that clear scrutiny are sanctioned the subsidy as per the policy terms, and the amount is then released in tranches over the applicable 2 to 5 year period.
