Selection process

How the process runs

  • Read the AP Textile Policy 2024-29 GO 55 guidelines for the detailed procedure and the paperwork expected.
  • Have a certified energy auditor study the facility and name the equipment worth installing.
  • Procure and commission that equipment, keeping every invoice and commissioning report safe.
  • Submit the application with the audit report, purchase invoices, commissioning certificates, MSME Udyam registration and anything else the guidelines specify. Submission goes to the designated authority, normally the Commissioner of Industries or a District Industries Centre.
  • The department verifies the claim.
  • The sanctioned amount is disbursed on a reimbursement basis once approval comes through.

What reviewers weigh

Assessment is handled by the designated state authority — the Department of Industries or a specialist committee. Proposals are checked for eligibility under the policy, completeness of documentation and alignment with the goal of energy conservation among MSMEs.

Three things in particular come under scrutiny:

  • the validity of the energy audit report;
  • the nature of the equipment actually commissioned;
  • how directly that equipment cuts energy utility costs.

Applications that line up with the AP Textile Policy 4.0 guidelines, and whose investment is verified as genuinely improving efficiency, are the ones that move ahead.
