ANKURAN provides a non-dilutive grant of up to ₹5 lakh (covering 90% of the project cost) plus a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 during the one-month residential orientation program.

Who can apply?

Farmers, students, and youth with an innovative idea in agriculture or allied sectors—regardless of educational background—are eligible. You must be willing to attend the one-month orientation in person at R-ABI, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, and be based in Uttar Pradesh. Startups already receiving a government grant for the same project are not eligible.

Do I need a registered company to apply?

No, you can apply as an individual or unregistered group. However, to receive the grant you must register as a legal entity (private limited, LLP, or partnership) before the fund disbursement.

Is DPIIT recognition required?

No, DPIIT recognition is not necessary for this program.

Does the program take equity from my startup?

No, the grant is entirely non-dilutive. R-ABI does not take any equity stake in your venture.

What are the steps to apply and receive funding?
  1. Fill out the Google Form online. 2. The RIC selects participants for the one-month orientation. 3. After training, RIC evaluates your progress. 4. If approved, your startup is recommended to the Regional Committee, then to the Ministry of Agriculture. 5. Upon final approval, 60% of the grant is released, followed by 40% after achieving agreed milestones.

Can I use the money for any purpose?

The grant funds must be used for product refinement, testing, trials, and test marketing—aligned with the prototype development phase.
