Akash Coherent ImpactTech Program by AIC-IIITH Foundation — Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Akash Coherent ImpactTech Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The program is open to early-stage tech startups (at the idea or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage) that have a product or solution at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 (Proof of Concept) or above.
• It also welcomes individual tech innovators or researchers who possess an impact-focused prototype, even if they are in the pre-incorporation stage, provided they have a clear intention to establish a for-profit startup.
• All participating ventures, whether incorporated or pre-incorporation, must be for-profit entities.
• Applicants must be India-based emerging or IT tech entities, with a majority Indian shareholding (this includes OCI and PIO holders).
• Founders must be over 18 years of age at the time of submitting their application.
• The core technology must be integral to the venture, focusing on areas such as IoT, AI/ML, computer vision, robotics, or drones.
• The proposed solution must demonstrate a clear intent to generate social or environmental impact, specifically benefiting individuals at the bottom of the pyramid, the broader community, improving environmental conditions, or advancing one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Preference will be given to startups that can successfully establish a Research Connect with IIIT Hyderabad's research centres.
• If selected, participants are required to take an accelerator seat at AIC-IIITH for six months and pay a one-time incubation fee of ₹10,000.

Akash Coherent ImpactTech Program by AIC-IIITH Foundation is open to startups at the idea and product stage working in deeptech electronics robotics, climate energy ev and edtech social impact. It is open to startups registered anywhere in India. Applicants should be registered as private limited, llp and individual.
