Selection process
Applications are submitted online through YC's apply page. From there the process moves quickly:
- Written application — filed through YC's website. Apply by the on-time deadline of November 2 at 8pm PT (9:30am IST on November 3) and YC commits to a decision by December 11. Late applications are still reviewed, but with no guaranteed reply date.
- Interview — promising applicants are invited to interview, mostly over video call, during November and December.
- Decision — YC usually makes its call on the same day as the interview. Every founder who reaches the interview stage receives detailed feedback.
- Investment — accepted companies receive the $500,000 investment straight away, before the batch begins.
