How to Apply for Allotment of Canteens — One-Year Canteen Space in Uttarakhand

The Board runs the allotment as an open competitive tender. The sequence an applicant moves through is as follows.

• Publicity — availability of a canteen and the terms on which it is allotted are advertised in local newspapers and displayed as public notices at prominent places across Uttarakhand.
• Tender form — an interested applicant collects the official form from the relevant committee office after paying the prescribed, non-refundable amount, and keeps all necessary documentation ready.
• Physical submission — the completed form with supporting papers must be dropped into the tender box at the committee office before the due date and time. Bids that miss the cut-off are rejected.
• Committee review — a committee set up for the purpose examines every tender that has been received.
• Open tender opening — the opening is conducted publicly, in the presence of the participating bidders, so that the process stays impartial.
• Allotment — the canteen is awarded to the applicant whose valid financial bid is the highest, and that person operates it for one year.
