Overview
The Vingo Campus Strategy Challenge '26 is a national case competition held entirely online, built for students who want to test their thinking on live business problems rather than textbook ones. It is run by Vingo, a community-first platform where people buy, sell and discover within their own circles, and it stands as the company's flagship campus event.
The brief is deliberately not hypothetical. Teams work on challenges close to decisions Vingo itself is weighing, which means the sharpest submissions can genuinely influence product choices, growth plans, marketing pushes and community initiatives at a fast-growing Indian consumer startup.
Entrants pick a single strategic track from three options.
- Track A — Access: How can Vingo make aspirational purchases — a first camera, an instrument, a gaming setup, a premium gadget or creative equipment — feel within reach for students and young professionals?
- Track B — People: There is a story behind every listing. Design a feature, campaign or experience that puts the people behind the products in the spotlight and strengthens emotional ties inside the Vingo community.
- Track C — Progress: Craft a go-to-market plan led by campus communities, making Vingo the marketplace students turn to first when buying, selling or discovering opportunities around them.
The competition runs in three online stages. A quiz round in early August narrows the field, shortlisted squads then get a concentrated case sprint, and the finalists close things out by pitching to Vingo's founders and senior leadership. Registration shuts on 5 August 2026, and entries go through the official Unstop competition page.

Selection process
Three rounds decide the outcome, and all three are conducted online.
Round 1 — The Next Step (6–8 August 2026): An online quiz covering analytical thinking, general business awareness, how marketplaces work and strategic aptitude. Teams should download the Vingo app and spend time exploring it before sitting the quiz.
Round 2 — The Next Move (9–16 August 2026): Teams that clear the quiz receive a detailed case brief and select one of the three tracks. Working to that brief, they carry out primary research — at least 15 to 20 interviews or surveys — and submit a strategy deck of 10 to 12 slides as a PDF, alongside a LinkedIn thought leadership post that is compulsory.
Round 3 — Finals (17–18 August 2026): The finalist teams pitch their thinking to Vingo's founders and senior leadership, then take on a live rapid-fire challenge.

Both of those teams also receive an internship interview opportunity with Vingo. Separate honours — Best Research, Best Product Thinking and the People's Choice Award for LinkedIn thought leadership — come with a certificate and Vingo merchandise, and every finalist receives a certificate.
When does registration close?
Registration closes on 5 August 2026. Round 1 then runs from 6 to 8 August 2026, so there is almost no gap between signing up and getting started.
Who is eligible to take part?
Any student at a recognised institution in India. Undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, engineering, commerce, economics, design and law students are all named as eligible, and students from other disciplines are welcome too. Teams need 2 or 3 members, and everyone on a team must be from the same institution.
Can I enter on my own?
No. Entries are team-based only and each team must have between 2 and 3 members, so you will need at least one teammate before you register.
Do all my teammates have to be from my own college?
Yes. Vingo requires every member of a team to belong to the same institution. You can, however, mix specialisations and academic years within that team, and the organisers actively encourage it.
Does the competition take equity or operate like an investment?
No. This is a case competition rather than a funding programme, so there is no equity stake or shareholding involved. The rewards on offer are cash prizes, internship interview opportunities, certificates and Vingo merchandise.
What are the three tracks and do I have to pick one?
Every team works on one track of its choice. Track A, Access, asks how Vingo can make aspirational products such as a first camera, an instrument, a gaming setup, a premium gadget or creative equipment feel more attainable for students and young professionals. Track B, People, asks for a feature, campaign or experience that celebrates the people behind the listings and builds stronger emotional connections in the community. Track C, Progress, asks for a campus-led go-to-market plan that makes Vingo the first marketplace students think of for buying, selling and discovering opportunities.
How does the competition progress from start to finish?
Round 1 is an online quiz held from 6 to 8 August 2026, testing analytical thinking, business awareness, marketplace understanding and strategic aptitude. Teams that qualify move into Round 2 from 9 to 16 August 2026, where they receive a case brief, pick a track and work on their submission. The finals take place on 17 and 18 August 2026, with finalists presenting to Vingo's founders and leadership followed by a live rapid-fire challenge.
What exactly do I need to submit in Round 2?
Qualified teams submit a strategy deck of 10 to 12 slides in PDF format, plus a mandatory LinkedIn thought leadership post. The deck has to be backed by primary research, with a minimum of 15 to 20 interviews or surveys conducted by the team.
What do finalists get out of it?
All finalists receive certificates, and the finalist teams present their recommendations directly to Vingo's founders and leadership team before facing the rapid-fire round. The Winner and Runner-up take home cash from the ₹30,000 pool along with an internship interview opportunity, while the Best Research, Best Product Thinking and People's Choice awards bring certificates and Vingo merchandise.
