Selection process
The selection process is rigorous and multi-stage.
Stage 1 – Preliminary Screening: The IEF CCS NIAM team reviews applications to ensure eligibility criteria are met and submissions are complete.
Stage 2 – Detailed Evaluation: A panel of experts—including agricultural scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives from IEF CCS NIAM and the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare—evaluates the business plan, technological innovation, market potential, and team capabilities. Startups showing significant potential for impact and scalability are shortlisted.
Stage 3 – Pitch Presentation: Shortlisted founders present their vision, strategy, and financial needs to a high-level jury in a virtual or in-person pitch. The jury's decision is final and based on a holistic assessment.
