Frequently asked questions

What is Prodyssey?

Prodyssey is a product management case competition hosted by IIM Indore under AtharvRanbhoomi. Participants take on the role of a product manager, work through a business problem, and present a product roadmap. Entries are judged by a panel that includes industry professionals as well as academic experts.

Who can apply for Prodyssey?

College students from anywhere in India can apply. The listing does not impose a stream, course, year-of-study or institution-type restriction, and it does not ask entrants to already be running a business. You do need to enter as part of a team rather than on your own.

How many members does a Prodyssey team need?

A team must have between 3 and 6 members. Teams can be formed across colleges, so members do not need to be from the same institution, and a single college is allowed to field more than one team.

What is the last date to register for Prodyssey?

Registration closes on 20 July 2026. That same date is the end of the competition window, which opens on 30 June 2026, so teams should register well before the deadline rather than at the last moment.

How long does the competition run, and where is the final round held?

The competition runs from 30 June 2026 to 20 July 2026. The final round is conducted at the IIM Indore campus. After registering, participants receive a set of rules and guidelines that explain what is expected of them.

How much prize money does Prodyssey offer?

Prize details are not specified in the listing — the reward is shown only as "Varies", so no cash amount or prize structure can be confirmed here. Any announcement about prizes would come through the official Unstop competition page.

Is Prodyssey a funding programme, and does it take equity?

No. Prodyssey is a case competition and not a grant, seed fund, loan or investment programme. There is no funding disbursed and no equity, stake or ownership taken in any venture, because participants are students competing on a case rather than companies raising capital.

Do I need DPIIT recognition, MSME registration or a registered company to take part?

No. None of those are required. The eligibility stated for Prodyssey is simply that you are a college student in India entering as part of a team of 3 to 6 members. It is a student competition, not a startup support scheme.

What skills does the Prodyssey case test?

The case is designed around the product manager's toolkit: understanding user needs through research, finding gaps in the market, prioritising features, benchmarking against competitors, building a roadmap, and shaping a go-to-market strategy. Design thinking, product strategy and stakeholder communication all feed into how a solution is judged.

How do I apply for Prodyssey?

Applications go through the official Unstop competition page for Prodyssey, linked from this page. Teams register there by 20 July 2026 and then follow the rules and guidelines issued to them after registration.
