Frequently asked questions

Who can apply for this scheme?

Medical practitioners who are registered are the applicants the scheme is built for. It is a PIPDIC initiative run with the Puducherry Department of Industries & Commerce and aimed at medical practices in the region.

What is the maximum equipment cost the scheme will consider?

Your equipment cost must not go beyond ₹60,00,000 (₹60 lakh). That is the eligible equipment cost ceiling; how much is actually sanctioned within it depends on the assessment of your application.

Is this funding a grant or a loan?

It is a loan. The assistance has to be repaid, and in exchange you keep full ownership of your practice.

Does PIPDIC take equity or a stake in my practice?

No. This is a debt scheme. Support is extended as a loan that you repay, so there is no dilution of ownership.

Is there an application deadline?

There is none. The scheme runs on a rolling basis, so you can apply whenever you are ready.

How do I apply?

The whole process is online through the PIPDIC portal. You register as a new customer with a username, email ID, password and captcha; verify your email with the OTP sent to it; update your profile from the dashboard; open the Applications tab; read and accept the checklist of terms; fill the multi-step loan application form; agree to the declaration and submit; enter the bio-data of the promoter, partner or director and upload the KYC and supporting documents; then pay the application fee and save the receipt.

How much is the application fee?

₹100 where the loan sought is up to ₹25,00,000, and ₹200 where it is above ₹25,00,000. After a successful online payment you are returned to the PIPDIC site with a receipt that you can print or save as a PDF.

What documents will I need to provide?

At the bio-data stage you upload KYC and supporting documents against each field using the 'Choose File' button. The checklist that appears before the form begins lists the General Terms and Conditions, interest rate structure, investigation fees and collateral security norms, and asks you to confirm that the necessary documents have been gathered.

How is my application evaluated?

PIPDIC first screens it for completeness and basic eligibility. The application form, promoter bio-data and uploaded documents then go through a financial and technical assessment by PIPDIC's evaluation committee. Approval depends on your eligibility, the relevance of the equipment you propose to buy, and the financial viability of your practice to manage the loan.

Who can I contact for support or grievance redressal?

You can reach the Managing Director or the General Manager (Administration) at PIPDIC. The office phone number is 0413-2334361, the mobile number is 9894653835 and the email is info@pipdic.com. The office is at No.60, Romain Rolland Street, Puducherry 605001.
