Frequently asked questions
What is the Micro Finance Scheme Credit Line 1, and who runs it?
It is a state-run micro-lending programme for minority communities in Haryana, implemented by the Haryana Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections Kalyan Nigam. Through it, eligible Self-Help Group members can access a repayable loan of up to ₹1,00,000 each, either directly or via their group.
How much can I borrow under this scheme?
The scheme offers loans of up to ₹1,00,000 per beneficiary. This is a debt facility, so the amount is repayable rather than a grant.
Who is eligible to apply?
You need to be a permanent Haryana resident belonging to a notified minority community, aged between 18 and 55 years, with a family income that does not exceed ₹98,000 per year in a rural area or ₹1,20,000 in an urban area. You also need a Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP ID) to file the application.
Which communities are treated as minority communities for this scheme?
Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains are the communities covered under the scheme.
What are the income limits for eligibility?
A family's annual income must stay at or below ₹98,000 if it lives in a rural area, and at or below ₹1,20,000 if it lives in an urban area.
Do I have to be a member of a Self-Help Group?
The scheme is aimed at Self-Help Group members from minority communities. Loans can be released directly to an individual member or through the SHG itself. For group applications, 75% of the members can be from minority communities, with this allowed to be up to 60% in exceptional cases.
Is a Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP ID) compulsory?
Yes. The application on the Antyodaya-SARAL portal cannot move forward without a PPP ID, since the form uses the family ID to fetch and verify the registered family's data.
Is there a last date to submit the application?
No. The scheme runs on a rolling basis and stays open, so there is no fixed closing date to work against.
Does the scheme take equity in my business?
No. This is a debt-based credit line, so the support comes as a loan that has to be repaid. You do not hand over any stake or ownership in your enterprise to receive it.
How do I apply, and can I track my application afterwards?
Applications are made online through the official Antyodaya-SARAL portal. First-time users register as a new user with their name, email ID, mobile number, password and state, then verify the mobile number and email through OTPs. After logging in, choose 'Apply for Services', open the list of available services and search for the Micro Finance Scheme Credit Line 1 for Minority Community.
