Who is eligible to apply?
Indian citizens who are full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students with entrepreneurial pursuits, or founders/co-founders of a DPIIT-registered startup not older than 2 years. The startup must not have received external funding exceeding ₹10 Lakh. Innovations must be at ideation, concept, validation, proof-of-concept, or prototype stage in deep-tech sectors.
Is DPIIT registration required to apply?
Yes, if you are applying as a founder/co-founder, your startup must be DPIIT-registered. Students without a registered startup are also eligible.
Which sectors or technologies are supported?
Eligible sectors include electronic design and manufacturing, deep-tech software and products, and ICT solutions using AI/ML, IoT, VLSI/semiconductors, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum computing, and AR/VR or immersive technologies.
Does the programme take equity?
No, the funding is provided as a grant, so no equity is taken.
How are selected EiRs expected to work?
Selected EiRs must physically incubate at the IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre for the duration of the two-year programme.
Can I apply if my startup has previously received MeitY GENESIS EiR support?
No, you must not have previously received support under the MeitY GENESIS EiR Grant for the same idea or venture.
