Yes, the program specifically targets deep-tech domains. Eligible sectors include electronic design and manufacturing, deep-tech software and products, and ICT solutions utilizing technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, VLSI or semiconductors, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum computing, and AR/VR or immersive technologies.

Is DPIIT registration mandatory for all applicants?

DPIIT registration is mandatory for startup founders or co-founders. However, full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students with entrepreneurial pursuits are also eligible to apply without this requirement.

Does the program take equity from the participating startups?

No, the MeitY GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) Cohort 2.0 program offers financial support in the form of a grant, meaning it does not take any equity stake in the ventures.
