Selection process

Application submitted online: the applicant registers on the official portal, selects the target segment and incentive type, pays the non-refundable application fee and submits the form.
Acknowledgement by the PMA: the Project Management Agency acknowledges the application within 15 working days.
Query response: any queries raised by the PMA must be answered by the applicant within 15 days.
PMA evaluation: the PMA assesses the application against the eligibility criteria and the investment, sales and employment thresholds, and verifies compliance.
Recommendation to the Governing Council: once verification is complete, the PMA forwards its recommendations to the Governing Council.
Governing Council review: the GC examines the recommendations and sends them for final approval.
Final approval: approval is granted by the Secretary, MeitY for incentives up to ₹100 crore, or by the Minister of Electronics & IT for incentives above ₹100 crore. Manufacturing should commence only after this approval.
Annual claims and disbursal: incentive claims are filed through the portal every financial year, verified by the PMA, and disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis.
