How to Apply for MCL Seed Grant 2026 — Up to ₹3 Lakh for FTBI-Incubated Startups

Applications are evaluated by a selection committee made up of experts from MCL and FTBI NIT Rourkela. The review is rigorous rather than first-come-first-served.

The screening focuses on four things:

• The innovativeness of the technology being developed.
• The potential for social impact.
• The viability of the submitted business plan.
• The financial disclosures, including audited annual statements and details of funding already received.

Startups that justify the seed capital they have asked for and show a strong growth trajectory are given preference. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to present their business plan or attend an interview round, where the committee assesses vision and execution capability.

Once selection is complete, the grant amount is disbursed to the chosen startups.
