Selection process
There is no competitive pitch or shortlisting round. Selection is administrative and happens through the channel network:
- The applicant submits the filled form to the District Office of a State Channelizing Agency (SCA), or to another NSFDC Channelizing Agency such as a Regional Rural Bank, a public sector bank or an NBFC-MFI.
- That district office scrutinises the application, checking eligibility and the supporting documentation.
- Applications that clear scrutiny are forwarded to the Head Office of the concerned channel agency.
- NSFDC then disburses funds to the SCA, RRB or nationalised bank once the terms of sanction are accepted and the applicable Prudential Norms are fulfilled.
- The money reaches the approved beneficiary through that channel partner, and she repays it according to the schedule fixed by her SCA or Channelizing Agency.
