Does the program provide a cash grant or take equity?

No. The program does not disburse a cash grant or take equity. The primary financial opportunity is the final pitch to Indian Angel Network (IAN) at the end of the 14 weeks, which may lead to angel investment.

What does the 14-week curriculum cover?

Seven sprint modules: business vision and roadmap, product and value proposition refinement, business model and financial planning, customer acquisition strategy, growth and operational scaling, team building and hiring plans, and funding readiness including valuation and pitch preparation.

What is the final pitch opportunity?

Selected startups pitch directly to the Indian Angel Network (IAN) investment team at the end of the program. IAN is one of India's largest and most active angel investor networks.

Is the program virtual or in-person?

The program is fully virtual, running over 14 weeks with weekly sprints, mentor clinics, and pitch sessions conducted online.

How do I apply?

Submit the application via the Wadhwani Foundation application form at the program link. Provide information on your startup stage, traction, and current gaps in fundraising readiness.

Is there any deadline to apply?

The application deadline is rolling, meaning applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and cohorts are formed periodically.

Are there any geographic or sector restrictions?

The program is sector-agnostic and open to Indian startups. There is no stated geographic restriction, but it is designed for Indian founders.

Do I need DPIIT or MSME registration to apply?

No, DPIIT or MSME registration is not required for applying to LiftOff.

What happens after I apply?

Applications are reviewed by the Wadhwani Foundation and IAN team for fit with the MVP-stage focus. Shortlisted founders go through further evaluation before being accepted into the 14-week virtual cohort.
