How much prize money does INNOVIK 6.0 offer?

The total prize pool is ₹2,00,000. The winner takes ₹80,000, the first runner-up gets ₹50,000 and the second runner-up receives ₹30,000. A further ₹40,000 is set aside for consolation prizes. Separately, every participant receives a certificate and exclusive goodies regardless of where their team finishes.

Who is eligible to participate?

Undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, developers, startups, innovators and technology enthusiasts are all welcome. No state-wise, sector-wise or entity-type restriction is mentioned in the eligibility criteria, and DPIIT or MSME registration is not required to apply.

Can I take part on my own without a team?

No. Entries are team-based and each team must have 2 to 4 members. On top of that, at least one woman has to be part of every team — this condition is mandatory.

All work sits under the theme Agentic AI for Smart Solutions. The ten available problem statements cover academic planning and student success, healthcare assistance and patient monitoring, sustainable agriculture advisory, transportation and traffic optimisation, digital tourism and cultural heritage, smart waste management and environmental monitoring, disaster preparedness and emergency response, citizen engagement and public grievance management, the future workforce and career guidance, and cyber security and digital trust.

Does the hackathon take equity in my startup?

No. INNOVIK 6.0 is a prize competition, so the rewards are cash prizes, certificates and goodies. No stake in your company, product or idea is taken.

How long is the hackathon and where does it happen?

It is a 24-hour sprint held in Indore. The build gets underway on July 14, 2026, teams work through mentor checkpoints during the day, and the event ends with each team presenting to an industry jury.

How are the winners decided?

An industry jury evaluates the final presentations. Entries are judged on innovation, technical excellence, understanding of the problem, feasibility, scalability, social impact, user experience and presentation quality.

Can we build on existing code or design work?

No. All code and designs submitted must be original. Any plagiarism leads to disqualification of the team.
