How much funding is offered?

The program offers a prize pool of up to ₹5 lakh, distributed at the discretion of IIITD-IC.

What is the application deadline?

Applications must be submitted by December 15, 2025.

Who is eligible to apply?

Any DPIIT-recognised startup in India with a scalable, innovation-driven solution aligned with one of the FinTech challenge themes is eligible. Startups at ideation, validation, early traction, or scaling stage can apply.

Does this program take equity?

No, this is a grant program. The prize pool is a grant, and no equity is taken.

What are the focus areas?

The challenge covers Seamless KYC & Digital Onboarding, Recurring Payments & Subscriptions, Lending & Credit Infrastructure, Fraud Detection & Compliance Automation, SME Fintech Enablement, Financial Inclusion & Accessibility, and Cross-Border Payments & Global Money Flows.

Is DPIIT registration required?

Yes, you must be a DPIIT-recognised startup to apply.

What other benefits do selected startups receive?

Besides the prize, selected startups get a 50% waiver on the virtual incubation fee (regular fee: ₹30,000 per year), mentorship from domain experts, networking with investors and corporates, and pilot opportunities with partner financial institutions.

How do I apply?

Applications are submitted through the Startup India portal. The application link is provided on the challenge page.

When will results be announced?

Results will be announced on January 31, 2026.

Can startups from outside India apply?

No, the program is national and only open to startups based in India with DPIIT recognition.
