FAQ

Answers to the questions founders most often ask about Term Loan Scheme for Backward Classes — ₹15 Lakh Loan in Haryana — who qualifies, the funding amount, required documents and how the application works.

Frequently asked questions

How much money can I get from this scheme?

An eligible Backward Class applicant in Haryana can take a term loan of up to ₹15,00,000 (fifteen lakh rupees). The exact amount sanctioned within that ceiling depends on your proposal and is released directly to you as the borrower.

What interest rate will I have to pay on the loan?

The loan is priced at a subsidised rate of 6% to 8% per annum. That is below what a typical commercial lender would charge, which is the main financial advantage the Kalyan Nigam extends to Backward Class borrowers.

Who is eligible to apply?

You need to be a permanent resident of Haryana and belong to the Backward Classes. Your age should fall between 18 and 55 years, your family's annual income must not cross ₹3,00,000, and you must hold a Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP ID), which the portal uses to verify your family details.

Do I need DPIIT recognition or MSME registration for this loan?

Neither DPIIT recognition nor MSME registration appears among the scheme's conditions. The identification document that matters here is your Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP ID), along with the caste and income certificates that establish your category and income eligibility.

Is there a last date to submit the application?

No. The scheme runs on a rolling basis and applications are accepted throughout the year on the Antyodaya-SARAL portal, so you can apply at any point that suits you as long as you meet the eligibility conditions.

Will the scheme take equity in my business in return for the money?

No. This is a term loan, which means the amount is repaid with interest at the agreed rate and the Nigam does not take any ownership stake or share in your venture. The funding is non-dilutive from the borrower's point of view.

What can I use the loan money for?

The credit is intended to raise your employability. Common uses include starting a new small business, expanding an existing micro-enterprise, purchasing equipment or machinery required for your activity, or investing in skill development that improves your economic prospects.

How do I apply for the Term Loan Scheme for Backward Classes?

Applications are filed online through the official Antyodaya-SARAL portal. New users register with their name, email ID, mobile number, password and state, then verify both the mobile number and email ID with OTPs. After logging in, go to 'Apply for Services' and then 'View all Available Services', search for the scheme and open the form. You enter your Parivar Pehchan Patra number, fetch your family data, select the beneficiary and confirm with an OTP sent to that family member. The rest of the form is filled in, documents are uploaded, the preview is checked and the application is submitted.

Which documents do I need to upload?

You will be asked for identity proof, address proof, your caste certificate and your income certificate, along with your PPP ID. If your proposal involves a business activity, a business plan or project report should be attached as well. All of these are uploaded during the online application.

Can I check the status of my application after submitting it?

Yes. Status can be tracked on the Haryana status portal at https://status.saralharyana.nic.in/ by entering the department name, the scheme name and your application reference ID.
