Selection process

  • Step 1 — Registration application. The unit submits an application in the prescribed format to the Industries Commissioner, along with supporting documents. This has to go in within one year from the date of loan disbursement, the start of production, or the policy's operative date, whichever of those falls later.

  • Step 2 — Scrutiny and registration certificate. The Industries Commissionerate examines and verifies everything submitted. If the application clears the prescribed procedure, a registration certificate is issued to the unit.

  • Step 3 — Eligibility certificate after DoCP. Once commercial production has begun, the unit applies for a provisional or final eligibility certificate. Where it applies depends on its GFCI — the General Manager of the District Industries Center for MSMEs with GFCI up to ₹10 crore, the MSME Commissioner for MSMEs above ₹10 crore and up to ₹50 crore, or the Industries Commissioner for units that are not MSMEs.

  • Step 4 — Verification and certificate issue. The relevant authority reviews the documents against the scheme's conditions and, once satisfied, issues the certificate that confirms the unit's entitlement to payroll assistance.

Units needing guidance on where to file or what to submit can reach the Industries Commissionerate or their District Industries Center using the contact details published on their respective websites.
