What is the GIFT IFIH Residential Program?
It is the flagship incubation program by GIFT IFIH for early-stage fintech startups. It offers a 6-month equity-free program (3 months onsite at GIFT City, 3 months virtual) with up to ₹1.5 lakh stipend, mentorship, regulatory exposure, and access to Plug and Play's global network.
Is this program an accelerator or incubator?
It is an incubation program, not an accelerator. The focus is on helping founders at the idea-to-MVP stage build and validate their product and business foundations.
Does the program take equity?
No. The program is completely equity-free. Startups retain full ownership.
What is the duration and format?
The program runs for 6 months: 3 months of intensive onsite residency at GIFT IFIH in GIFT City, followed by 3 months of virtual support and ecosystem engagement.
Is relocation to GIFT City required?
Yes. The first 3 months require full-time onsite presence at GIFT City. Founders must relocate for that period.
Which startups are eligible?
Early-stage fintech startups at idea or MVP stage focusing on cross-border finance, GovTech & RegTech, Web3 & blockchain infrastructure, security, risk & compliance, or other fintech innovations aligned with the IFSC ecosystem.
How much funding is offered?
Selected teams receive up to ₹1,50,000 as a milestone-linked stipend. It is not a grant but a support disbursed upon achieving predefined milestones.
What is the application deadline?
Applications open on 10 June 2026 and close on 5 July 2026. Final batch announcement is on 17 July 2026.
Do I need DPIIT or MSME registration?
No. The program does not require DPIIT or MSME registration.
