What is CodeStone 1.0?
CodeStone 1.0 is a 24-hour hackathon organized by Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, where student teams build innovative tech solutions across multiple domains.
Who can participate?
Any student currently enrolled in an educational institution can form a team of 2 to 4 members. There are no restrictions on college or course.
What are the prizes?
The total cash prize pool is ₹35,000: 1st prize ₹15,000, 2nd prize ₹12,500, and 3rd prize ₹7,500. All participants also receive certificates, swag, and a 1-year .XYZ Domain. Top performers may get internship opportunities.
When and where is the hackathon?
The event is held physically at Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, on May 8–9, 2026. It is a 24-hour non-stop coding event.
What is the application deadline?
Registration and PPT submission must be completed by April 30, 2026.
Are there any fees?
Yes, an initial registration fee of ₹100 per member is required. Shortlisted teams must pay an additional ₹1,000 per team.
What themes or tracks can we choose?
The hackathon offers five tracks: Smart Automation, Smart Education, Blockchain & Cyber Security, MedTech / BioTech / HealthTech, and Miscellaneous (for other innovative ideas).
Do participants get any support during the event?
Yes, participants receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and food and accommodation during the hackathon.

Will all participants get certificates?
Yes, all participants receive participation certificates. Winning teams receive additional recognition.
How much funding does CodeStone 1.0 provide?
