How much money can a team win at CodeFusion 2K26?
The published prize amount is up to ₹2L, drawn from an overall prize pool of ₹2,00,000+ that is shared among the winning teams. On top of the cash, winners and participants receive mentorship, swag, certificates and recognition.
Who is allowed to participate?
The hackathon is open to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students from across India, and students from any branch or discipline can take part. A valid college ID card is mandatory, so keep it handy for verification.
What is the allowed team size, and can I team up with students from another college?
Teams must have between 2 and 5 members. Cross-college and interdisciplinary teams are explicitly encouraged, so you are free to join forces with students from other institutes or other fields of study.
When is the registration deadline and how do I apply?
Registration closes on August 10, 2026. Applications go through the official CodeFusion 2K26 listing on Unstop, which is the entry point linked for the event.
What are the competition tracks?
There are four dedicated tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Web3, Blockchain and Open Innovation. You pick the track that best fits your team's idea.
What has to be submitted in the first round?
Round 1 is an online submission built around a PPT. Teams put together a presentation covering their idea, the approach they plan to take, and the impact they expect the solution to have. Working prototypes are not what the opening round asks for.
How are teams selected and how many rounds are there?
There are three rounds. Round 1 is the online PPT submission. Round 2 is an expert evaluation, where a review panel shortlists the most innovative, feasible and impactful entries. Round 3 is the offline grand finale for the shortlisted teams.
Where and when does the grand finale take place?
The finale is an offline event at Echelon Institute of Technology, Faridabad. Shortlisted teams go there to build, refine and present their solutions before a jury over a 36-hour innovation sprint.
Is this a grant or an equity investment? Does the programme take a stake?
It is neither a grant nor an investment. CodeFusion 2K26 is a competition with cash prizes, so there is no equity stake taken and no investor share involved in participating or winning.
Do I need DPIIT recognition or MSME registration to enter?
No. The eligibility criteria are built around student status: you need to be a UG or PG student and carry a valid college ID card. DPIIT recognition and MSME registration do not feature in the requirements.
