Bootstrap Battle 2.0 — AJNIFM Student Pitch Contest, ₹35,000 Top Prize — Frequently Asked Questions

It is an international startup case competition for students, hosted by the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM), which functions under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Teams identify a real-world problem, build a scalable startup solution around it, and present the venture to a jury of entrepreneurs, investors, startup mentors and industry experts.

In the domestic category the winner receives ₹35,000, the runner-up gets ₹25,000 and the second runner-up gets ₹15,000, making for a domestic prize pool of up to ₹75,000. In the international category the corresponding awards are USD 365, USD 265 and USD 165. All participants also receive certificates, and winners get special recognition awards on top of the cash prize.

There are three rounds. Round 1 is a screening round where each team submits a 2-page concept note covering the problem, solution, target market, business model, revenue strategy, competitive advantage and scalability. Shortlisted teams then submit a 2–3 minute investor pitch video in Round 2. Finalists go through to Round 3, the Grand Finale, where they present live before an eminent jury and face a question-and-answer session.
