Selection process
The selection process for the BMW Group Startup Garage involves several stages: Startups are required to submit a comprehensive application through the official BMW Startup Garage portal. This application should detail the innovation's relevance, the maturity of their prototype, and the experience of their team. Solutions that show promise are then evaluated by the dedicated Startup Garage team, in collaboration with relevant BMW business units. This assessment focuses on the technical feasibility of the solution and its strategic alignment with BMW's objectives. Following this, selected startups will be invited to conduct product demonstrations. Finally, successful startups receive a formal purchase order directly from a BMW business unit. This purchase order officially initiates the paid Proof-of-Concept project, marking the beginning of their collaboration with the BMW Group.
