Selection process
Applications are submitted through the BMW Startup Garage online portal. The form requires information about the innovation, its relevance to BMW's use cases, the maturity of the prototype or solution, the team’s experience, and the company’s legal structure. The Startup Garage team and relevant business units review applications for technical feasibility, market potential, and strategic alignment. Shortlisted startups are invited to present their product in a demo and discuss a potential PoC framework. Selected startups then receive a purchase order, obtain a BMW supplier number, and sign a purchase agreement to begin the paid PoC project.
