What is the maximum grant amount under the BCDD scheme?

Who is eligible to apply?
OBC graduates aged between 23 and 40 years who are building innovative technology startups in Kerala. The founder must be an OBC graduate, and for the Productization Grant, 80% shareholding must be held by OBC founders.

No, the program accepts applications on a rolling basis—you can apply at any time.
Does the grant take equity from my startup?
No, this is an equity-free grant. You retain full ownership of your company. No equity, interest, or any other form of repayment is required.
Do I need a registered company to get the grant?
Yes, your startup must be incorporated as a Private Limited, LLP, or OPC. You also need to register with KSUM and obtain a Unique ID before funds are disbursed.
Which states are eligible for this grant?
Only startups based in Kerala are eligible, as the program is run by the Government of Kerala.
How are funds released?
Funds are disbursed in milestone-based tranches. Once you receive a grant offer, you will sign an agreement detailing the milestones. Subsequent tranches are released after you achieve those milestones and submit proper progress reports and documentation.
Do I need DPIIT or MSME registration?
The program does not require DPIIT or MSME registration. However, a KSUM Unique ID is mandatory.
Can I apply if I already have a different grant for another idea?
No, only one application per idea is allowed at a time, and you cannot hold two grants concurrently. You must first complete (or abandon) your current project before applying for another.
