Selection process
The application process is highly selective and structured in two phases:
- Phase 1: Up to 30 startups are selected to undergo intensive entrepreneurial training, mentorship, and validation within the University of Chicago ecosystem. This phase concludes with a final showcase event where startups present their strategies to mentors and potential investors.
- Phase 2: From Phase 1, up to 10 companies demonstrating sufficient progress and potential advance to Phase 2, which unlocks further resources and the ₹4,500,000 SAFE investment. Phase 2 culminates in Alchemist's Demo Day, where companies pitch to leading venture capitalists, corporate partners, and industry stakeholders for follow-on funding and partnerships.
