What problem does the hackathon aim to solve?

NHAI currently uses handheld devices conforming to IRC 67 and IRC 35 to measure retroreflectivity of traffic signs, pavement markings, road studs, and delineators. The hackathon seeks vehicle-mounted or drone-based equipment, AI/ML analysis, or hybrid systems to make measurement faster and safer.

Submissions can be a system overview, concept note, mobile application, or working prototype.

How will my submission be evaluated?

An NHAI expert panel scores submissions on Innovation Level (30 points), Feasibility (30 points), Scalability & Sustainability (20 points), and Presentation & Documentation (20 points).
