The iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) scheme is a central government initiative designed to foster innovation among startups for defence applications across India. This program is administered by the Defence Innovation Organisation.
The scheme operates through two distinct tracks. One track, known as Defined Problem Statements (DPP), focuses on challenges specifically identified and posed by the Indian armed forces. The other track is an Open Challenge, which encourages startups to propose solutions to self-defined problems that have clear applicability within the defence sector.
